Leeks (approx. 500g)
Leeks are the nobler cousins of the humble onion and garlic. They have a mild, onion-like taste, and are a rich source of vitamins B6 and K, as well as iron, manganese and dietary fibre. They can replace spring onions in a salad, stir-fried, pan-fried, sautéed, baked, roasted, or cooked in any way you would an onion.
